Hand knit scarf with a total of six different yarns. A white mesh lace, an aquamarine mohair blend, mint merino, multi-colored Italian wool/mohair, and ...
TWO handspuns from two of Etsy's own:
1) totally luscious merino/silk & sparkles blend in sea glass blue, from bluemtnhandcrafts.etsy.com
2) chunky wool blend in the most delicious ice cream colors of mint, pistachio & a hint of raspberry (ooh, hungry now), from LushMommy.etsy.com
With these yarns, I knit row after row of slender stripes. I finished the edges with more of bluemtn's yarn, and created three loop holes for the buttons.
The buttons are also Etsy-found. We have one Czechoslovakian glass button from my fellow CCCOE team member, OldeTymeNotions.etsy.com . Beautiful green with an iridescent blue moonglow luster.
The other two buttons come from another favorite shop, forsythecompanystore.etsy.com . One wooden bird button that I have been waiting eagerly to use on the right garment (hence the title), and one plastic blue button with silver flower.
I love it when colors, textures and Etsy artists combine to make such a fun piece! This would be as cute on a young girl as it would on an adult! Great gift piece, too.
Hand wash cold, gently. Lay flat to dry.
Measures 41" (104cm) by 3 1/4" (8cm) , unstretched.
