We wanted to upcycle this vintage trophy into something useful while trying to keep it "trophyesque". So the baseball player on top came off, which left a nice big bowl for a Catch All, but it called out for further modifications. We pulled out the metal name plate and snapped it into place between the eagles to make the front of another tier. It needed a back so we cut a piece of vintage sheet brass and formed it around the base to create another compartment for pens, tools, brushes, mail, notes, etc.. The string around the bottom keeps items from sliding out of the lower basket.
There's an open slot where the metal nameplate used to be, which is a perfect opportunity to caption this piece with the congratulatory or motivational or smart-assed words of your choice. The 6" metal bowl has a nice chromed finish, and the ornaments are plated metal. The base is beautiful chunk of walnut. The plaque is inscribed L.I.B.L - 1968 Second Place - K OF C.
It stands a little over 10" tall, the bowl is 6" and the base is about 7.5" x 4" and will weigh about 3lbs packed for shipping.
