This amazing button sampler is filled with all sorts of buttons and buckles--shirt buttons, trouser buttons, sweater buttons--you name it! The book was most likely a salesman sampler for The Patent Button Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. The company was founded in 1876 and from what I can find this book is from the early 20th century. Many of the buttons are metal as are the last 2 pages of metal buckles--there are twelve pages in all. The book is in great condition for its age although there is some warping on the binder cover and the buckles do have some rust as you can see in the photos. A wonderful piece of button history for any collector!
