"The Lion's Tale" is a delicate matte metallic collection of yellow golds and pinky bronzes with hints of green. Their texture felt very brick-like to me as I worked with them, and I loved the hints of green that seemed to represent the Emerald City. The pinks reminded me of the poppy fields. I loved the delicate but spiky bud shapes in the edges of the necklace, which seemed to be about both the beauty and the danger of the poppies.
The necklace is 16" long, the woven sectionn is 1" wide and the center front, from the top of the weaving to the bottom of the lion's tail is 3". It closes with a gold filled lobster claw clasp.
