Contains British Shetland Wool, and Tussah Silk.
Will spin up to create a yarn that gradually changes colour from red through to purple.
This fibre is not like commercial top or roving. It's fluffy, open, and really easy to draft.
You will get 4 braids, the fibre is triple carded and pulled off in a continuous strip, each braid should change colour at approximately the same rate, but because this is handmade it won't be exact. There will be some variation in the thickness of the roving.
70% Shetland Wool
30% Tussah Silk
The final picture (courtesy of the lovely Handa) is of the same blend of fibres spun up, and then knitted in to Stephen West's Boneyard.
For my other colour changing rovings, made in the same way, but with different base fibres take a look here-
For all my rovings with sparkle take a look here-
Or for ones without sparkle try here-
Please note, this is one of my repeatable blends so you won't get the exact fibres shown here, but it will be the same colours, in the same quantities, made in the same way.
