This yarn had a longer story than most. For a while I couldn't figure out what to make with it. Its sister yarn became a lacy scarf, but I wanted to do something a little different with this skein. I tried crocheting it into a scarf, but it just wasn't right. I didn't like the texture, didn't like how the colors were playing out. About half-way through, I unraveled that poor scarf, and cast on for this cowl instead. I'm much happier with it! I'm especially pleased with the way the colors shift in this wavy feather and fan stitch pattern.
Color-wise, this cowl ecompasses a range of rosy hues: a vibrant, nearly electric pink shifs through a paler gentler rose to a robust plum and back again.
Dimensions: Laid flat, this cowl measures 16" ( 41 cm) around and 8.5" ( 22 cm) tall, though it is very stretchy, and goes right over my 22" head easily.
Fiber content: 100% wool! (Falklands wool, if you're interested.)
Care instructions: Hand wash gently in cool water with mild soap; block flat to dry.
I have tried to represent the color accurately in the pictures, though appearance may vary from monitor to monitor.
I made and stored this cowl in a smoke-free environment.
