To remove the wicks, either blow them out and pull them very carefully when there is about a half inch of melted wax remaining, or if cold and stuck, pop the bowl into an oven on warm to 150 degrees and the hot glue which holds them in place will loosen and you'll be able to pop them right out.
As with all candles, I recommend trimming the wicks before you light, each and every time. If you burn this candle for hours at a time you'll want to trim the wicks every couple of hours. This will provide a brighter, cleaner flame and a more consistent burn.
The wicks are made of hemp and contain no metals.
Should you have any questions I would be delighted to hear from you.
