After the first firing, it is glazed and fired again. My spoon rests are not always flat - but that is what makes them so unique. They do curve up on the edges and I used a tablespoon for my picture.
This leaf is made from a Hydrangea leaf - it is absolutely beautiful. It measures 4-1/2" long and 3-3/8" wide.
The colors are different matte greens, metal grey (matte) with dark brown/black around the edges.
You can use this leaf as a tea bag holder, trinket dish, soap holder or just a simple table decoration.
