I am constantly inspired by Vincent van Gogh and his love of bold and deliberate brush strokes. Looking at his gorgeous landscape paintings always makes me happy! So, I decided to paint a landscape scene in his style. Along with his signature blues and yellows, I added deep hues of burnt sienna, sap green, and cerulean blue to the foreground. Thick brush strokes and bold colors, along with the huge round sun in the sky, made for a very rich landscape scene…and is one of my favorite paintings.
The sides of the canvas have been painted also, so there is no need for a frame. It can be displayed on an easel, or hung on a wall…your choice. I tried to take a variety of photos indoors and out, so you can get an idea of the beautiful colors in this work of art. This painting has been finished off with a protective wax coating to make sure these colors stay true for years to come.
