Measuring roughly 25cm by 15cm (about 10"x6") when closed, this pouch can comfortably carry the average paperback, or a plethora of small things. It's designed so that, when it's closed, both layers of fabric are folded, which means that even the smallest things won't fall out if the pouch is turned upside down.
The belt loops are 25mm wide cotton tape, and arranged in such away that you can place one loop either side of a belt loop on your waistabnd, to stop the pouch from sliding around too much. It's also compatible with a harness system I am working on to mount stuff like this on the thigh.
It fastens with a bit taken from an old pair of suspenders, which attaches to two solid brass buttons at the bottom. The front and back are made of cotton canvas, with the sides and base made from a heavy but soft cotton twill. The flap is black leather, held in place with brass rivets and stitching.
Read wherever you are! Or just carry stuff!
