I was so frustrated when shopping for my firstborn that all the baby clothes came in pastels - I wanted brights! And so now I make bright colored baby clothes!
This gown is a "one-size" cotton fleece infant gown - it fits newborns as a full gown with a drawstring bottom to tuck their little feet into, and then as the baby grows, you can remove the drawstring and wear as a nightgown. I made one of these gowns for my daughter and it fit her through about 18 months or so. It's been dyed in a zigzag red, blue, and purple patter. I use permanent fiber-reactive dyes, so no worries about the color fading or bleeding.
The diaper cover is a size small (approx 8-16 lbs) wrap-style PUL diaper cover. It can be worn over cloth diapers or over disposable diapers. It's made of soft, cuddly purple Minkee fabric on the outside, with waterproof PUL on the inside.
The cover closes with super strong Touchtape closures, which allow for the best possible fit (compared to snaps). The closures feature a crossover tab for even greater adjustability, as well as laundry tabs, to keep the closure nice and clean. Touchtape is ideal for cloth diapers, since it stands up to the frequent washings and even more frequent openings and closings.
