Symbolism: The outside "tiles represent the tiger, while a swirly gold pattern is center stage, representing the Cowardly Lion's beard. Ironically the tile containing the swirls also represents the "twister" that picked Dorothy up and took her to the land of Oz! The gold frames on each of the beaded tiles and the gold-tone metal connectors represent the yellow-brick road. (Incidentally, the entire bracelet could represent the road, since it looks like a path of stepping stones leading you somewhere!)
If you look closely you will notice the faceted red crystals that connect the "tiles" of beaded fabric mimic the color of Dorothy's ruby slippers. Finally, I chose to use two tiny, box clasps in the shape of bows to finish it, just like the bows on her iconic, sparkly ruby slippers.
So even though this piece is a bit fanciful, it is definitely still very classy but striking. Perfect for a romantic or elegant night out! Or wear it to a power meeting at the office! I employed the best finishes of beads at my disposal and this piece took approximately 12 hours to complete - a labor of love!

This bracelet has a nice supple drape, and wears well on larger wrists as well a smaller wrists (allowing that the wearer prefers a looser fit).
