Exquisitely elegant, these earrings feature fine silver roses, about 15 mm in diameter, that I will carefully craft from metal clay (PMC3), using a mold that I made. (Each rose that will be made from this mold will differ slightly, but the two roses will match well.) The pure silver roses are oxidized and hand-polished to give this vintage look, emphasizing the detailed texture of the petals. (If you prefer, the roses may be left in a gleaming silver finish.)
Dangling from each rose will be an elegant gemstone or pearl drop. The photo shows two possibilities: (1) A keshi freshwater “petal” pearl in vivid white with delicate, subtle rose-pink highlights. The pearls are accented with sterling silver and tiny matching white Swarovski crystal pearls. or (2) Shimmery labradorite with blue flashes, accented with sterling silver.
The earrings will be made to order with the gemstones or pearls of your choice. They will be about 1 ½ inches long. The roses are fine (pure, 99.99%) silver and the posts sterling (92.5%) silver. They will be supplied with simple sterling silver backs, as well as an extra pair of more supportive earring backs than the ones shown, with round pads to support the ear. This may be preferable for some wearers because the roses are solid silver (each about 14 by 11 by 9 mm) and, so, relatively heavy.
These one-of-a-kind earrings would make such a special gift. They’d also be perfect bridal jewelry, or just to add a touch of elegance to everyday life! They will arrive in a gift box with a tag describing materials and handcrafting. Please allow up to two weeks for this custom order but if you require them sooner, convo me to discuss availability. If you prefer a different color scheme for the gemstones, convo to discuss possibilities.
