These socks are knit on 2 24-inch circular needles, that measure either 2.5mm, 2.25mm or 2.00 mm depending upon your size, with an optional 12 inch circular needle that might make it even easier for you to maintain a lace pattern while forming the gusset. One skein of sock yarn approximating 400 yards should be sufficient.
They are knit "top down" or "cuff down", with heel flap and short row heel.
I believe that the lace adds to the beauty of this yarn.
