Beautiful turquoise toned earrings created on my brand new solid bronze wire. This wonderful wire is a full, rich rose gold color and is also extremely sturdy. The central focal is a blue faceted quartz teardrop of almost an inch long. Turquoise and coral toned coral beads drop invitingly around the faceted quartz. These earrings can be finished with either clip on, lever back or french wire fittings in an aged brass. Brass does not contain any nickle and is safe for nickle allergies. Please let me know which fittings you prefer.

Coral was believed to protect against accidents and was used as a protective amulet by many ancient cultures. It was also said to protect people out at sea and used to ward against evil. Turquoise is used for prosperity, cleansing, protection and spiritual enlightenment. Together these two stones were used by ancient people to protect and provide a conduit to the spirits. Blue quartz is a stone of organization and is said to reduce tension and bring mental clarity. These stones make a wonderful combination for a practitioner on the path to enlightenment.

These earrings were inspired by the many native and island peoples' pieces of art that have been created over the centuries out of corals and turquoise. The addition of the nearly translucent faceted quartz brought to my mind, a tribal priestess high on a cliff facing the ocean in obeisance to the sky and ocean gods. These earrings are a lovely way to honor the sky, earth and ocean.
