The summer of 1945 took my grandparents to the Black Hills in South Dakota. They likely camped under the stars after dusk (they were notorious for camping whenever possible) and enjoyed the majestic landscapes after sunrise. On their vacation they chose this postcard folder as a souvenir to take home.
This accordion-style folder contains 8 double-sided cards depicting the beautiful scenery of the Black Hills. Because my grandmother has always taken great care with her belongings, this folder is in excellent condition and only shows slight wear at the corners of the folder and a crease along the back where the flap tucks in similar to an envelope. The only writing is inside, simply noting the date: July 22, 1945.
No. 2 edition. Copyright 1937 by Curt Teich & Co., Inc., Chicago, IL. Linen-style folder.
