This hat was made from a vintage linen calendar. I am pretty sure this one is made of cotton. I love giving old textiles new life. The fabric was washed thoroughly prior to sewing.

It has two button holes on the chin strap. It's warm without being overly so.

I made a few of these hats for my son when he was a baby. Since he liked them so much, I decided to add a few in my shop for other babies. Henry was born premature. He always wore hats as a newborn. Babies get chilled easily. I was disappointed by hats that I saw in the stores and decided to make some. This is a variation on the type of caps found in Scandinavia. My son loved his hats. Momma's magic.
