I too have spent a life the sages' way,
And tread once more familiar paths. Perchance
I perished in an arrogant self-reliance
Ages ago; and in that act a prayer
For one more chance went up so earnest, so
Instinct with better light let in by death,
That life was blotted out -- not so completely
But scattered wrecks enough of it remain,
Dim memories, as now, when once more seems
The goal in sight again.
(Excerpt from Paracelsus by Robert Browning)
Sieze the night. This wire wrapped arrow pendant frame was soldered and hammered before being ornately wire wrapped with luxe Nouveau curves, sterling spheres, mystic black spinel, faceted black onyx, and smooth black onyx.
The necklace measures 18" from end to end, with an additional 1" extender at the clasp. The pendant is just over 2" high including the smooth onyx pear that hangs beneath it.
Carpe Noctum was antiqued and hand polished to draw out the ornate details and add depth.
