Shear Sugar can be used on 1/16" hair length unlike waxing or sugar waxing, so no need to wait too long for hair growth! The sugaring technique also pulls the hair out right from the root in the SAME direction as the hair growth making the hair grow in finer with every treatment! The sugar also only adheres to dead skin cells and will gently exfoliate the skin while removing the hair.
Little or no irritation will occur after use.
Shear Sugar comes in five different levels just like the salon brands. Choose the level according to where the sugar will be used and stored as it will adjust to the room temperature and will also adjust to your body heat while you are removing hair. A different level should be used for the cooler months than for the hot & humid months. Levels 2 & 3 are most commonly used.
LEVEL 1 - a soft paste for cooler room temperatures (17C) during winter and for very cool hands.
LEVEL 2 - a medium strength paste for moderately warm room temperatures (21C) during winter.
LEVEL 3 - a strong paste for air-conditioned room temperatures (25C) during a humid summer.
LEVEL 4 - a strong paste for non-air conditioned room temperatures (30C) during a
humid summer and for someone who has very warm hands.
LEVEL 5 - an extra strong paste for non-air conditioned room temperatures (35C) during a
humid summer and for someone who has very warm hands/body.
Note* Remember to consider that if the hands that are applying the paste are generally very warm you may have to go up a strength level from the room temperature levels because both the heat from your body and the room will affect the thickness of the paste. Also remember to consider that by the time you receive your shipment the seasonal temperatures in your country may have changed, so choose a strength level that you can use for average temperatures of the upcoming months. Choose a slightly higher strength level when in doubt - to be on the safe side. Half levels are available as well.
All containers of Shear Sugar are approximately 610g (22oz) and the customer should be able to get one full body treatment (Legs, Underarms, Forearms, Face, Brazilian, Back) or more depending on its use. It is also important to store Shear Sugar in a cool, dry & dark place as it is used at room temperature.
