This metal was awarded for service in Korea between June 27 1950 and July 27 1954.
The pen is made of Red Oak. The ribbon on this pen is hand wrapped on to the pen top using thread that is .005 in diameter. This is not a decal or a ribbon that is glued on.
The finish of the pen its self is six coats of acrylic followed by three coats of polish sealer. The thread is covered with two coats of a two part epoxy that is designed for sealing and preserving the thread. It will not yellow! The finishes on all of my pen are chosen to give the user more than a life time of trouble free use.
This pen uses standard Cross refills.
