This is an original design, limited edition (first of three) hand-cut papercutting of a Swainson's Hawk. I designed this papercutting portrait from a photo I took of a hawk at a wildlife sanctuary in California, and I cut it by hand with an x-acto knife.
This piece is matted to 8"x10". The double mat is dark green with leaf patterning and black, the cutting itself is done in a white cold-press watercolor paper, and the background behind the cutting is browns, tans, greens, and black. The watermark is on the photos only, not on the actual piece.
