She is 8" tall when standing from top of flower petal to foot and 5" wide and 6" from top of flower petal to bum when sitting. Sammy was hand felted with a single needle. She has a solid core made of Merino wool purchased from Living Felt.com. Her exterior is made from a luxurious blended wool of Super Soft Merino and Bamboo in a colorway called "Early Autumn" purchased from sosaecaetano.etsy.com. The early autumn colorway is brilliant, it has golds, butterscotch, sage/light olive purple and all things in between!
Sammy's face which is the center of the sunflower is dark purple, her flower petals are a blend of purple and golden butterscotch, while her vine like tail, body and limbs are a sage/light olive green color. Buzz, her little companion that she has a close eye on has light yellow and black stripes felted onto a wire armature with a little brass stinger and wings made from wax paper.
She has 5mm black glass eyes looking up at Mr. Buzz, a heart shaped nose, upholstry thread ecru colored wiskers and eyebrows, is 5-way jointed with upholstery thread, which means her arms, legs, tail and head can be gently posed. No glue or pattern was used in her creation. She is truely a OOAK (one-of-a-kind) Kitty.
Because of Sammy's handcrafted nature she is not recommended for small children or pets that chew and tear things apart. She will make a perfect gift for the kitty or autumn season lover in your life, to spoil yourself or someone special!
