'North American Animals In Bark' is a photographic series conceived in studio and created spontaneously in the field... I photograph barks of specific tree species through hand-cut paper templates, looking for the animal's spirit reflected in the world of flora that surround them. I find the animals through intuition and am inspired in part by this quote by Naturalist John Muir, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe."
Limited edition of 50 prints on 100% acid-free, museum rag paper, with 3 artist's proofs. Heirloom quality, created in studio with archival pigment inks, completely matte with rich contrast and details. Species scientific and common names on the front, along with series title, artist's name, year created & number. All prints are signed on the back, but I will gladly sign the front on request.
Carefully packaged with a rigid board in an acid free cello sleeve, and mailed inside a rigid mailer for safe transit. Insurance and Delivery Confirmation is standard for all 13" x 19" print orders shipped within United States.
