A sparkly, striking scene-stealer. I almost scaled this design back, but I just couldn't: it's the perfect touch of slightly over-the-top mod glam for your couch, chair or bed. I just adore it and have such fun hand-printing this design, as every impression is unique, with a painterly effect. This decorative pillow cover is carefully rendered in nine shades of varying metallic sheen, which will be the start of many conversations. Or simply a very glamorous place to rest your head for a disco nap.
The inspiration for my home goods comes from California coastal and desert living, scandinavian minimalism, midcentury textiles & furniture, and the earthy, organic, mellow vibe of the 60s and 70s.
My original designs come about from whims, notions and lots of journal doodling in the garden. Then I turn sketches into hand-cut printing blocks and start stirring the ink and cutting the fabric. Each impression is made by hand with care in my smoke-free San Francisco home studio with custom-mixed, water-based fabric inks (heat-set for permanence). Most of my fabric ink mixes feature a bit of metallic sheen, which makes a striking contrast with the nubby linen, the star of the show. If you love linen, too, you know: it's an ancient fabric that's cool to the touch, drapes like a dream and is naturally allergy-free and antibacterial. Such good stuff.

HAPPILY HAND-MADE: All items are one-of-a-kind, printed by hand, so (very) slight variances may occur in placement and ink coverage. Please be aware that all computer monitors display color differently, though I always shoot in natural light and carefully color-correct product images.

SHIPPING: All items ship out via USPS first class, at which time I'll convo you to let you know your item is on its way. If you require faster shipping, no problem: just convo me prior to your purchase and we can calculate the costs.

PACKAGING: All pillow covers are carefully packaged by rolling them in plain (unprinted) newsprint around a recycled cardboard tube -- rather than folding, which results in unnecessary creasing. Attached to the pillow cover will be a kraft paper tag, embellished with copper triangle detailing. I use recycled tube outer mailers, and I don't use bubble wrap or other plastic padding. Additional newsprint will be added as stuffing as required, to ensure your pillow cover arrives unscathed.
