1970s does the turn of the century.... I discovered this scrumptious gown thrown in a corner at an estate sale, in a bag with some paper. So I rescued her from the inevitable trash bins.

Ivory colored satin strapless under dress with machine embroidered tulle on the sleeves, bodice and skirt. The sleeves are 3/4 length, and shirred a bit on the inside of the arm. Full skirt of the embroidered tulle. All of the embroidery is a floral rose pattern. High neck. Zips in back, hook and eyes on the top of the zipper to close the neck. Long satin sash.
The condition is pretty good; it does have a slight mothballs odor.... the entire house did. It will need to be dry cleaned. I could detect no other holes or tears, or major stains; just a tiny bit of age discoloration on the lace of the high neck. Union tag.

Bust: 32 inches
Waist: 24 inches
Hips: 48 inches (Or a little more ... there is a little bit fullness in the hips)
Length: 36 inches
Sleeve: 18 inches

The measurements for everything but the sleeve were taken on the shell portion of the dress, not the lace portion.
