This hand embroidered personalized photo locket anchor necklace is perfect for placing a photo of your loved one or family inside to keep them close at all times.
The anchor is a an age-old symbol of hope, solidity, tranquility and faithfulness. As Harold Mej says so eloquently in "The Symbolism of the Anchor":
"The anchor remains firm and steady amidst the stormy waters, symbolizing the stable part of a human being, that quality which enables us to keep a clear mind amid the confusion of sensation, emotion and the general 'storms' of life."
I have hand-embroidered a tiny anchor* using silk thread on antique linen and placed it inside an American made 1 1/2 inch round raw brass locket which hangs from a 26" long brass hand antiqued figaro chain with a toggle closure at the front. Very steampunk! Raw brass will change over time a develop a lovely antique patina. I enclose a square of polishing cloth if you prefer to keep it bright.
You may place a photo of your loved one or a lock of hair in the opposite side (or I would be happy to do it for you). There is protective clear acetate inside the locket so that the embroidery and your photo are protected.
If you want to add a photo yourself, it should be sized to fit inside a 3/4" (2 cm) circle.
*I also have a large anchor keepsake locket here:
