The two characters on a Vespa with their trusty suitcase and three chickens in tow are appliqued and freehand machine embroidered onto natural linen with the words 'let's go'.
It is inspired by the streets of Ho Chi Minh City where two wheels truly rule. Laden with more that most of us can fit in a car (I kid you not!), they swerve their way around the city carrying families of five, dozens of chickens, large pieces of furniture, you name it!
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I cut the fabric to be appliqued and sketch freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
The last photo is to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop (and I couldn't resist making a little line of them :)
Please note this listing is for the hoop shown in photos 2, 3 & 4 only, others hoops and bobbins are not included sorry.
This piece is mounted on a 10"(26cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Made to order.
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
