I blocked beautiful fur felt on a vintage hat block to make the shape which is a classic fedora crown paired with a big sexy brim. The wide brim is not wired but has a hand cut scallop edge. The fur felt has a beautiful velour finish and the color is fabulous, a deep and rich aubergine or eggplant purple. This color is incredibly neutral and known to be flattering to everyone.
The hat band and bow are made from tan grosgrain ribbon. Two felt dots are hand sewn to the side of the band, it's just something I do.
Inside is a grosgrain ribbon in 22.5 which fits average heads and a tiny bit larger.
This is a truly fabulous womens fedora, runway worthy.
