This beautiful silk "Pillar of Stars" scarf is printed with a high-resolution image of a nebula taken by the Hubble telescope. According to Hubble, the image "shows a mountain of dust and gas rising in the Carina Nebula. The top of a three-light-year tall pillar of cool hydrogen is being worn away by the radiation of nearby stars, while stars within the pillar unleash jets of gas that stream from the peaks."
The silk was custom printed with high-quality, reactive dyes and has a gorgeous sheen. The colors, mainly black, orange, and shades of blue and green, are bright and vibrant.
It measures approximately 21 by 21 inches, or 54 by 54 cm. Perfect for tying around your neck or hair.
Comes in a box with a card sharing some scientific information about the stars on your scarf.

Care
This fabric was digitally printed and treated to ensure colorfastness. The colors will not fade, but I recommend hand-washing with a gentle soap and air-drying. May be ironed on a silk setting, but I recommend using a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
Please note that I will happily combine shipping--after the first scarf, shipping is free!
