This sculptural pomegranate is a 3-dimensional hollow round form. It is hand constructed -- raised, soldered and surface finished -- in sterling silver, then oxidized. The pendant is beaded with faceted ruby, amethyst, carnelian and rhodolite garnet and red garnet beads.
This is the largest of my one-of-a-kind spheric pomegranate pendants; it measures approximately 25 mm wide (diameter of sphere) X 30 mm high.
The Venetian box chain is about 24 inches long and is made of oxidized sterling silver.
I do think that this pendant should hang fairly low, however, a "good" chain length is very individual -- feel free to let me know your preferred chain length.

A note about the oxidized (blackened) surface finish:
Oxidized patinas change over time, with wear in the high areas that touch the skin or clothing. I am often told by my customers that this gradual process makes the piece even more beautiful and personal. However, I do apply a thin, protective coat of oil or wax to the metal, in order to help preserve the oxidation and to deepen the color.
I am happy to make this pendant in a larger or smaller version, and with a shorter or longer chain.
