(1) EXTRA large, 47mm, beautiful, semi-translucent brown agate bead with lightly crackled cream colored etched designs, resembling the yin yang symbol on both sides of the bead.
I purchased this bead directly from a man living in the Shangri la area of China.
I describe this bead as "dZi style" because I believe that although it is painstakingly hand crafted by Artisans living in the Tibet area, it is a relatively new bead, the beautiful, etched designs similar to the patterns seen on the ancient Tibetan dZi beads.
I don't want to mislead you. You often see the term "dZi" used to describe this type of bead, yet an authentic dZi bead is hundreds of years old, etched and dyed using ancient methods, the bead hole bored by hand and smooth with use. They are worth hundreds of dollars. You will never find an authentic dZi within the low price range that I sell them here.
That aside, my beads are exquisite and beautiful in their own right and well worth the price that they are listed for.
Please see dime in last photo for visual sizing.
