I came up with this unique design when I really wanted a hat that (a) was super warm, (b) had ear flaps and ties to keep out the cold, and (c) had a cat face on it, of course. The result? KITTY HAT! The perfect geeky accessory that keeps you cuddly *and* nerdtastic.
I hand-crocheted kitty hat out of bright green resilient yarn so it retains its shape without feeling stiff and awkward. I carefully hand-embroidered kitty’s face out of pink and light-gray yarns, and her eyes are shiny cream-colored pearlized buttons. Ear flap ties dangle over a foot long with colorful wooden beads at their ends.
