It has a split fracture through the mid section, but still looks great. The top half has an interesting etching termination and is facet grade.
A nice light blue color (as seen in the 4th picture) and it has not been heated or treated in any way. All natural as found.
In the fifth picture I took the shot with a piece of ocean jasper behind it to accent the clearity.
The Tarryall area in Park County, Colorado is known for the exceptional topaz specimens discovered there. Topaz in the Tarryall Mountains forms in cavities of various sizes in pegmatites (coarse-grained granite).
