Upcycled Purse made from a Vintage Cherry Skirt

This fabric is so rockabilly and adorable but the skirt it started as was in such awful condition! So what do you do with an unwearable skirt with fabulous fabric? One word - PURSE! With the zipper closure all your stuff is safely tucked away, and in true reduce/reuse/recycle fashion, I re-purposed a bed sheet for the fabric lining and used a strip of fabric from the hem of the skirt to make the shoulder strap. So you can feel good about keeping this skirt out of a landfill, and look good wearing it!
