I designed this one for a jewelry making camp I taught to kids
last summer and all the moms wanted one.
Each hand stands alone on a recycled champagne cork base
and measures approximately 10" x 5" (25cm x 12.5cm). The swirly
wire petals around the base are about 3 1/2" in diameter (9cm).
It is made from heavy-duty 16 gauge black steel wire and is sturdy
and fragile at the same time. The base may need a little adjusting in
its new home and I know you can diy.
I don't like using varnish so please keep indoors if you want it to stay black.
Outdoor or bathroom placement will allow them to get a pretty brown patina.
They are beautiful standing on a shelf against a light background.
Feel free to put them to work holding your jewelry or hair accessories.
They can also hold little signs or business cards when you need an extra
hand during craft shows but they won't do dishes.
