I always grow lots of herbs in my garden . . . . although I'm not sure why because I'm often too lazy to run out there and cut some to cook with. However, Mildred (my cat) is certainly a huge fan of the catnip. And the white sage grows beautiful white flowers with leaves that smell amazing.....it also grows wild in the mountains behind my house. I guess I like that herbs are understated, they are not huge fancy showy plants. Their flowers are quite small and delicate. The truth is they could quite easily be overlooked unless you knew the treasure of hidden scents and flavor that lurk inside.
