I carved my pomegranate design into a linoleum block using traditional Japanese carving tools. Then I made a series of hand-pulled prints in a luscious red ink on recycled kraft card stock. Simple. Cheerful. Voila!
Each impression is printed by hand, using a baren to press the ink onto the card stock. This process allows for wonderful variations in the appearance and distribution of the ink. These subtle nuances give the design a hefty dose of character. You will notice that each card stands alone as its own unique little art piece. I like to think of it as perfectly imperfect.
Sold as a set of 5 blank greetings with kraft envelopes.
This note is size A2. It measures 4 ¼ by 5 ½.
I use non-toxic, water-based ink.
