A vintage engraved locket with a beautiful face and original chain. The locket is oval and gold fill, probably around 10 or 12K. The verso is smooth and plain and the front is cast and engraved. A garland of tiny leaves rims the face, with double bands of vertical engraving forming a background for a decorative center crest. The crest is diamond shaped and edged with a foliate design. At the very center, the initials "FC" are engraved in script. The locket opens from the left to a double photo compartment. One side has the original paper backing and picture ring. The locket closes tightly and suspends from a 12K gold chain. Some tarnish on the back but overall condition is excellent.
