We collect the pinecones wherever we travel in summer, in various forests and meadows. You can often see me or Gints searching for the right cone, carrying a sack full of them - sometimes people probably think that we eat them.
When pincones are dried and prepared for jewelry at our home, they bring fantastic fresh forest aroma with them..
One night we woke up from a strange sound, like tiny scratches or pops. After long search, we discovered that those were closed, wet cones that were drying on the shelf and popping their little spikes open :)
The shapes and sizes of these may vary, but we choose similar shaped and sized cones for one pair or earrings, and the size in average is about 1-1.2in.
Cones are hung on a copper chain and brass earwires are added.
When making these, we feel really close to nature, and we hope you will feel the same wearing them. They look really cute, and make you feel like a wild and untamed elvish queen!
Enjoy!
