This original, whimsical drawing can be yours at a newly reduced price as I try to make room in my tiny office! It would be difficult to find a lower price on detailed pen and ink work of this type - and it is almost the holiday season! Thank you so much for considering The Slumbering Herd to brighten your life or the lives of your friends and family.
Unusual, bright orange pixie hometree with green and purple Watch Bird and woodland critter on a white background. Although it rather looks like this tree has outgrown a chunky planter with a tiny door in the side, it is in fact growing perfectly well out of the ground, and was for some time before the fortifications began around its base. And it wasn't until later that the Watch Bird arrived.
You see, a tiny pixie named Dolores lives in this tree. I probably don't even have to mention her last name, as she became famous in the 80s, first for fronting an all girl pixie New Wave band (think Kajagoogoo meets Siouxie and the Banshees), and then for being the Spokespixie for the popular fairy hangout, Shady Glen (an eighth-size replica of the famous ice cream parlor in Manchester, Connecticut). Suffice it to say her wild success brought the relatives out of the woodwork (literally, in two cases), and Dolores had no choice but to devise methods of keeping them out.
This is an original, 8" x 10" whimsical illustration made with Copic fine line pens and archival quality markers and Prismacolor markers. The paper is a heavy drawing board made by Canson, with a smooth Bristol finish. The colors are amazingly rich but they may vary slightly from what you see on your monitor. TThe shop name does not appear on the drawing.
Signed on the back but can be signed on the front in teeny script if you like. If you do not specify, it will not be signed on the front. This original work will be carefully shipped in an acid free plastic sleeve and sturdy flat mailer.
