STATS:

Necklace is 18"(45.72cm)
I created the honey bee charm from a recycled scrabble tile by sanding the edges, distressing the sides and adhering an the definition and image from an old dictionary page.
Definition inside tin is "Tincture" which means "a solution of a medicinal substance in an alcoholic solvent". I chose this definition for the inside of the Witch Hazel tin because this is what you would do with gathered Witch Hazel for healing remedies. Text was recycled from pages of an old dictionary and I adhered it to the inside of the tin.
Keyhole is 53mm long, Witch Hazel tin is 28mm, distressed scrabble tile is 18mm, beaded beads are 20mm, enameled toggle clasp is 26mm.
INSPIRATION:
Inspired by the beautiful bead soup components from my partner, Gail Vanderster-Zwang(http://www.etsy.com/people/angelmoose?ref=pr_profile). I used some of Gail's beautiful stitched beaded beads, some of her bead stash, some of my bead stash, some vintage home pieces and my first ever distressed bee scrabble tile, and decopaged Witch Hazel tin! I was so excited to receive so many wonderful pieces from Gail and to create such a wonderful vintage feeling piece. I hope you discover all of the amazing treasures I did on my creative journey designing this piece.
