Sitting on a mossy rock to which an ancient, lichen-spotted and blossoming cherry tree clings, the elegantly curling blue cat purrs warmly against a celestial, iridescent gold background. Here Kitty, in its third incarnation of this popular series, turns to observe us with glinting green eyes. A turquoise halo, royal in its sainthood, offers a hint of what's underneath the surface of all things.
This 18" x 36" painting with deep, 1.5" sides painted black is an entrancing fusion of Eastern and Western styles requiring no frame, only a contemplative mind.
