Pretty Purple Kite Suncatcher

What would summer be without warm sunny days, picnics, and brilliantly colored kites floating gracefully in the sky above. Well this one's a little smaller than the average kite, and come to think of it, I doubt it would float very gracefully either but it sure would make a lovey decoration :) This one is made from a very pretty pinkish, indigo purple corsica glass and I chose the "grain" direction carefully for a more interesting look.

The wire tail has three little bows, each made from thin copper sheet that I tinned and built up to give some cute puffy dimension. This piece hangs from a wire loop soldered securely to the top - fishing line not included. I've left the solder seams their natural silver color and polished them to a sparkling shine with carnauba wax. This item will ship by US Postal Service and a suction cup will be included with your order.
