I work primarily in ceramic but in order to have a good "master" cast of my original sculpture (which I created in a non-hardening clay) I get a urethane mold made and polyurethane resin castings are made. One master resin copy gets sent off to my ceramics mold-maker. But the mold is good for approx. 50 copies, so I make the resin casts available to model horse collectors who like to paint their own models.
Roundabout the resin is 6″ tall x 9″ long.
These are the LAST copies in the edition.
The resin edition is only 33 pieces total.
NOTE: The painted one shown is only an example. You are buying an UNpainted copy.
The castings are unfinished blanks, meaning you have to sand down the very minor seams, mold-marks, and the occasional tiny pinhole air bubble. Then apply your primer/gesso and paint.
You can see more photos of Roundabout, including more painted examples, on the website:

The ceramic edition of the Roundabout sculpture will be coming out sometime in the next few months. Most pieces will be finished in one-of-a-kind and custom-order glazed colors. Plus possibly a small "OF" edition of identical colored pieces.
NOTE:
Unpainted copies are intended to be finished by the customer, to include all forms of applied finish and alteration/customization. I (Karen Gerhardt) grant to my purchasing customers limited permission to photographic copyrights for promotion, sales or photo showing. I (Karen) retain all reproduction copyrights, including both original elements and derivative works, for display, promotion and publication. In other words, you are absolutely not allowed to cast your reworked resin and sell those castings.
