I designed this hat pattern to be an easy, fast hat to make that looks like the military-style hats everyone is wearing these days. Now I am sharing it for others to use.
Fully lined, banded in classic millinery style with a grosgrain ribbon and no raw edges, it can be as cute or rugged as you want it to be with your fabrics of choice!
Works great as a subject for recycled fabric.
There is an optional pattern piece to add a contrasting band, or you can make it with a solid side piece (for bigger patterns or room to embellish.) See pictures.
With practice, this hat comes together quickly. It comes in handy if you need inventory...fast...for a looming craft show.
