You can guess what happened next. Fortunately, the baby princess grew strong, and when she learned of her brothers' ill-fated transformation into ravens, she set out to find them, She journeyed to the sun and to the moon, but they were of no help. It was only when she met with the stars that she found goodwill and hope in her quest.*
You can use the Sun, Moon, and Star doll set as part of your own retelling of The Seven Ravens, to make up your own stories, or as figures to inspire you from a corner of your desk. I have known grownups and teens to enjoy my dolls as much as children do. Sun and Moon stand approximately 7 cm tall (2.75 inches), and little Star stands 5.3 cm tall (a little over 2 inches). Their capes and bases are embroidered with attention to detail, and faces are embroidered simply in the Waldorf tradition to encourage open, creative play.
This set is suitable for display and storytelling, and should be kept out of reach from pets and children who still put toys in their mouths (small parts may be a choking hazard). The bases of the dolls are signed in thread with my signature “A.”
