This gorgeous autumn-inspired, heat-inspired, Victorian-African-inspired necklace features an irresistable combination of elements sure to make you a hit, even if you are just going to wear it to the grocery store. :-)
Hanging to the sternum (between the heart and the throat), it would set off a man's white shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbows, or a little black dress, jeans and a tee, or nothing at all!
I sourced the glass beads from Mali, and made the focal bead from a piece of vintage lace, sewing small bone beads to it's surface. Strung on a steel-strength waxed-cotton cord, embellished with raw linen in burnt umber, Emily in Africa closes with an antique multie-metal Victorian button featuring a musical clef.
Enchanting!
