My family went camping with our homeschool group at Carpenteria State beach. This area was once Chumash Indian land. A Chumash representative came and spoke with us and showed us many wonderful Chumash items. This lovely basket full of gourd rattles and such was among them. I love the colors which are represented in this lovely yarn - turquoise, green, red and tan. Enjoy California history come to life!
