I set about cleaning them up a bit and what magical things emerged from under the dust and ink...I fell in love with these warm, tactile pieces of printing history. I set off on a hunt for more and this is the result...
There is still some ink and paint on the blocks, and they do have some dinks and scratches, but that is part of their history and charm. Now they can be part of your history and charm! Not only that, but they are eco-friendly too, as they are being rescued and re-purposed.
I think these words and letters look great sitting on a shelf, desk or mantelpiece. Each one is different and unique.
This is "Son of ALPHABET SOUP" (by popular demand)...a perfect Housewarming Gift, or for your Favourite Teacher or Font Nerd (they do exist). The blocks are all separate and can be stacked or presented in any way you wish - What fun!
"Son of ALPHABET SOUP" is made up of 26 individual blocks - yes, there's one of each letter in the alphabet - in many different fonts and styles and measuring between 1" and 3 1/4" tall. I have collected them from all over the UK and from as far away as France, Germany, India (!) and the USA - it's a cosmopolitan collection.
