You just twist the hair ties around your hair (if your hair is long enough for a ponytail or a bun), like you would if you were wearing a regular elastic hair tie. I clipped these into my mannequin's short hair using simple snapping hairclips (not included) for the photos, so they could work with shorter hair, but these would work best with longer hair.
